It is rare to find a mediator who is both pleasant to work with in the midst of a very complicated situation and firm enough to get the job done. We presented Ms. Sloat with a case involving a lot of moving parts and she took the time to not only understand all of the moving parts, but to ensure that both sides knew where each other were coming from and where the middle might occur. Due to the complexity of our matter, we engaged in both a Zoom mediation and in-person mediation with Ms. Sloat. In both realms, Ms. Sloat was professional, communicative, and moved the Parties to a settlement that no one thought would occur, especially when one of the Parties was self-represented.
